Is this a good mountain bike?

I plan on getting it for mainly on the road/grass but also occasionally for ‘boring’ stony trails, is this a good bike for the price? if its not then what other hardtails could I get for around the same price (preferably slightly lower), and what bike stores would sell them in the UK?
